Attendance Officer / Admin Assistant

Gosfield School is currently seeking an Attendance Officer / Administrative Assistant to join our School Office Team.

This role is responsible for maintaining accurate, timely and compliant attendance records and for supporting effective communication between pupils, parents, staff and senior leaders. The postholder will help ensure that pupil absence, late arrival and early departure information is recorded, followed up and escalated appropriately.

The role also provides flexible administrative support across the School Office and as required, to the Finance/HR and Admissions teams. The postholder must work with discretion, accuracy and a clear understanding of confidentiality and the expectations of Gosfield School.

The Attendance Officer / Administrative Assistant will work closely with the Office Manager, Bursar, Finance and HR teams, Admissions team, pastoral leaders, tutors, teaching and support staff, the Designated Safeguarding Lead, pupils, parents, prospective families and visitors.

Cover Supervisor

We are looking to recruit a Cover Supervisor to supervise whole classes of KS3 & 4 students during the short-term absence of teachers. The maximum class sizes at Gosfield is 22. You may well be asked to undertake other duties pertaining to the school if you are not covering a lesson. 

You will have daily contact with students and staff, therefore experience of working with young people is essential. You must have the ability to relate effectively to all adults and students in our school. 

Successful candidates must be confident in setting high expectations of conduct in the classroom. Experience is highly desirable.

Hours: 39 per week, Full time, term time only

8:20am to 4.50pm Monday to Thursday and 8.20am to 3.50pm on Fridays, with a 30 min unpaid break

Level 2/3 Nursery Practitioner

Part Time, 2 days per week
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and energetic qualified Nursery Practitioner, who embraces outdoor learning, to join our friendly team here at Gosfield Nursery. Gosfield Nursery is based within Gosfield School, a co-educational independent school that caters for children from 2 to 18 years old.
The job role will require the candidate to drink pretend cups of tea, to fully anticipate going home covered in paint, glitter and mud, to be able to give reasons as to “why” anything and everything happens and to remember the words to every nursery rhyme possible. We are looking for someone with a huge heart who wants to ensure every child knows how special and important they are to our Gosfield family.
Gosfield Nursery is a term-time setting, with opening hours of 8am until 5pm.
Start date as soon as possible.
