Head of Business

Gosfield School is looking to appoint a dynamic and inspiring Head of Business to take responsibility for the curriculum in this highly regarded department. The successful candidate will have a relevant degree, genuine passion for the subject and be well placed to generate and sustain a high degree of motivation in all pupils, many of whom are of a high ability. Teaching students from KS3 to KS5.

Level 3 Nursery Practitioner

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and energetic Level 3 Nursery Practitioner, who embraces outdoor learning, to join our friendly and eager team here at Gosfield Nursery. Gosfield Nursery is based within Gosfield School, a co-educational independent school that caters for children from 2 to 18 years old.

The job role will require the candidate to drink pretend cups of tea, to fully anticipate going home covered in paint, glitter and mud, to be able to give reasons as to “why” anything and everything happens and to remember the words to every nursery rhyme possible. We are looking for someone with a huge heart who wants to ensure every child knows how special and important they are to our Gosfield family.

Gosfield Nursery is a term-time setting, with opening hours of 8am until 5pm. This position is for three days (25.5 hours) per week with flexibility required to meet the needs of the nursery.

Start date 3rd November 2025 but this can be flexible for the right candidate.

School Minibus Driver

Gosfield School is an exceptional co-educational Independent School set in 110 acres of parkland, serving Colchester, Chelmsford, Sudbury and South Cambridge area. At the heart of our success is our commitment to a personal education tailored to your child. Our class sizes are small, averaging 15 to 20 pupils and never more.
Although not academically selective we offer all the advantages of close attention in the classroom and wide open adventure outside of it.

We wish to appoint a Minibus Driver to safely transport children to and from School, collecting and dropping off at various points on a given route. You will need to be available Monday to Friday during the school term time to work for two hours in the morning and two hours in the afternoon. Flexibility to undertake additional, ad hoc driving work during the School day for fixtures, trips and other purposes is an advantage. Applicants must possess a D1(not 101) category licence and/or a CPC Licence.

This is a permanent contract for 20 hours per week and includes 4.6 weeks holiday pay. The contract is for 20 hours per week, 35 weeks per year (term time only) with a salary of £13.56 per hour paid in 12 monthly instalments, plus any overtime on an ad hoc basis.

Interviews will be held on a rolling basis.
