Commercial Business Development and Engagement Manager

Job Description
FTE – £40,000 to £45,000 dependent on experience. Actual – £24,000–£27,000 for 3 days/week. Flexibility will be required for weekend events and evening functions.
Purpose of the role
The Commercial Business Development and Engagement Manager will establish and deliver an integrated programme designed to grow diversified non-fee income for the school.
Working across fundraising and engagement, the postholder will develop and deliver regular giving, appeals and campaigns, underpinned by strong stewardship and donor care. They will build alumni and parent engagement from the ground up, creating communications, events and relationships that form a clear pathway from connection to long-term support. The role will also coordinate community engagement and events so that activity is planned, costed and evaluated for impact, while also leading commercial business development by identifying, securing and growing new opportunities such as partnerships, sponsorship and paid programmes.
This role plays a key part in supporting the school’s strategic objectives and advancing its philanthropic mission.

Learning Support Assistant - Part Time

We are seeking a warm, compassionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our nurturing school community. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and other professionals to help create a caring, inclusive and supportive environment where every child feels valued, encouraged and able to thrive.
This is a wonderful opportunity for an experienced LSA who is passionate about making a meaningful difference in children’s lives and supporting both their personal growth and academic achievement. Based within the Prep School, you will support whole classes, small groups and individual pupils on a 1:1 basis, building positive relationships that help children develop confidence, independence and a love of learning. The role will also include playground supervision duties, helping to ensure our pupils feel safe, happy and supported throughout the school day.
For candidates with the appropriate skills and experience, there may occasionally be opportunities to support teaching within the classroom and lead classes when needed. A Level 3 qualification and experience delivering Read Write Inc would be welcomed, although these are not essential.
We are looking to appoint someone from September, ideally with experience working across Year 1–6 age groups. Most importantly, we are seeking someone who brings kindness, patience, enthusiasm and a genuine commitment to helping every child to flourish.

School Minibus Driver (0 hours contract)

Gosfield School is an exceptional co-educational Independent School set in 110 acres of parkland, serving Colchester, Chelmsford, Sudbury and South Cambridge area. At the heart of our success is our commitment to a personal education tailored to your child. Our class sizes are small, averaging 15 to 20 pupils and never more.

Although not academically selective we offer all the advantages of close attention in the classroom and wide open adventure outside of it.

We wish to appoint a Minibus Driver to safely transport children to and from School, collecting and dropping off at various points on a given route. You will need to be available Monday to Friday during the school term time to work for two hours in the morning and two hours in the afternoon (10 hours per week). Flexibility to undertake additional, ad hoc driving work during the School day for fixtures, trips and other purposes is an advantage. Applicants must possess a D1(not 101) category licence and/or a CPC Licence.

This is a zero hours contract.
