Welcome To Our Nursery

It is my pleasure to welcome you to our Nursery.

We’re set in a fabulous purpose-built location at Meadow Court which is also home to our Prep School. The beautiful setting is supported by the same robust learning structure as our Prep School. This allows children, from the age of just two years, the opportunity to experience the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum and to take advantage of teacher-led planning and expertise. This approach undoubtedly gives our nursery children an advantage in learning when they graduate to Reception Class, whether that’s at Gosfield or another school.

Indoors, our Nursery is bright, caring and engaging, whilst outside in our amazing Forest School and 100-acre estate, we are adventurous, spontaneous and muddy! Outdoor play and our long-established Forest School are very much a part of nursery life at Gosfield. Nursery pupils enjoy the earliest opportunity to explore, discover and collaborate with each other in line with the Gosfield School ethos, and they begin to learn to take responsibility for themselves and others in the safest of hands.

Joining our Nursery and Forest School also provides families with priority admission to our Reception Class and entitles parents to reduced fees, through our Nursery Loyalty Bursary Scheme, for the first three years in our Prep School to the end of Year 2.

Always Adventuring

Beyond the Nursery’s own outdoor space, which is full of toys and adventure, are the wide and wonderful grounds of the whole school. Our Nursery is set in 110 acres of mature parkland and forest. Accompanied by Forest-School-trained staff, our pupils frequently explore the beautiful and extensive school grounds and venture into Cub Woods to discover more about the natural world.

Recharging Nutrition

When the children have used up all their energy, playing, exploring or being creative, they can tuck into healthy snacks or lunch prepared by our excellent catering team. There’s quiet time after lunch for those children who need to sleep, rest or just to relax and recharge their batteries ready for the next activity.

We know that selecting the right nursery environment for your child is one of the first and most important decisions you will make for them. We make those first steps in their educational journey as easy and enjoyable as possible. We encourage you to visit us for one of our Open Days or book an appointment for a personalised tour.

Our Nursery welcomes children aged 2-4 and is open during term-time only. Attending our Nursery provides priority admission into Gosfield Prep School’s Reception Class with the significant benefit of our Nursery Loyalty Bursary Scheme which offers substantial remission on fees in Reception, Years 1 and 2.
