Senior Extra Curricular

We actively encourage pupils to discover new interests and try out new activities. Not a day goes by at the school without our pupils throwing themselves into a fantastic array of clubs and extracurricular activities. The programme is reviewed each term to ensure we continue to introduce new activities whenever possible, and that pupils make full use of our facilities.

Lunchtime and After School Activities

We offer over 180 lunchtime and after school activities including Academic, Sport and Performing Arts.

Activities Week

Our annual activities week takes place towards the end of the summer term. Our Senior pupils participate in sports and cultural trip abroad, activities trips in the UK and action packed activities based at school.

Duke of Edinburgh Award

Pupils from Year 9 can work towards and gain Duke of Edinburgh awards at Gosfield, which is an accredited Duke of Edinburgh Awards assessment centre. The awards scheme runs as an after school club and during occasional weekends and school holidays. Pupils in Years 7 and 8 have weekly Forest School sessions as part of their school day.

Expeditions

Pupils from Years 10-13 can join the schools bi-annual expedition. These three week adventures take place at the end of the school year and are truly an experience of a lifetime. In 2023, the expedition was to Cambodia where, in addition to cultural visits and sightseeing, our students helped with community projects. Previous expeditions have been to Borneo and Ecuador to name a few.
