Gosfield School Proudly Celebrates Another Year of Sixth Form Success

Posted: 13th August 2026

Gosfield School is proud to announce the Sixth Form results achieved by the class of 2026 students. This year also marks an important milestone, with students receiving the School’s first-ever results in the Technical Diploma in Sports Coaching.

67% were in the higher end A* to C grade range, or equivalent, and 98% of grades across all subjects’ studied by all students were passes. 100% of students completing the Performing and Production Arts Diploma earned straight distinctions, continuing the outstanding standard set by the Performing Arts Department last year.

The majority of our students have secured places at their first-choice destinations, a testament to the strength of our Sixth Form provision and the effectiveness of the Gosfield approach. Notable successes include Zhenya [A*, A, B] who is taking time to consider whether to progress to university or continue with the small business he has recently set up, Marie who has accepted a place at Durham to read Japanese Studies, Millie [D,D,D] in the UAL Performing Arts Diploma and Daisy [D*, D*]in the Technical Diploma in Sports Coaching. A feature of this Year 13 cohort is the number of students who have achieved success in their A Levels and have decided not to proceed to university and instead have obtained excellent positions in the city, internships or Degree apprenticeships.

Through hard work, perseverance and a commitment, Gosfield School students have achieved an impressive set of results. Guided and inspired by the school’s exceptional teaching staff, they can take great pride in all they have accomplished.

Principal, Rod Jackson, expressed his admiration for the students’ achievements and also praised the dedicated teaching staff for their exceptional efforts in supporting the students:

“The success of this year’s cohort is a testament to the dedication of both students and staff. Gosfield Sixth Form’s commitment to academic excellence and real-world learning, combined with personalised support, has played a pivotal role in helping students achieve their ambitions and secure impressive results.”

The 2026 Year 13 cohort embody the school’s commitment to nurturing resilient, well-rounded individuals who are equipped to thrive in an ever-changing world. The school’s holistic approach to education, combined with its focus on adaptability and innovation, has prepared the students not only for their academic achievements but also for their future endeavours.

A small number of places remain open for Year 12 commencing in September.
