Gosfield School is proud to announce a new Gold Partnership with London Mavericks, marking an exciting step forward in the school’s commitment to developing young athletes and expanding opportunities within performance netball.
As an official London Mavericks Partner School, Gosfield pupils will benefit from unique access to professional players and coaches with online mentoring programmes, inspiring role models, visits to London Mavericks NSL training grounds, and a clear pathway from school netball to the professional game.
As part of the collaboration, London Mavericks will host its Emerging Athlete Programme at Gosfield School, led by Head of Gosfield Netball Academy and London Mavericks Player, George Fisher (Inger). The programme will provide aspiring athletes with high-level coaching and development opportunities within a professional performance environment.
The partnership also strengthens Gosfield School’s growing Student Athlete Pathway. Through the George Fisher Netball Academy, the school has elevated its netball provision, creating exceptional opportunities for pupils to develop their skills while balancing academic studies. Student athletes benefit from specialist coaching, tailored support, and flexible pathways that allow them to pursue sporting ambitions alongside educational achievement.
Alongside its new partnership with London Mavericks, Gosfield School has continued to enhance its wider sporting provision through its collaboration with Grays International. The partnership has played a key role in empowering the school’s sports department through access to leading equipment, expertise, and development opportunities across multiple disciplines. This commitment to sporting excellence was recognised nationally when Gosfield School received the ISA Award for Outstanding Sport in 2024, celebrating the school’s outstanding achievements and dedication to nurturing young athletes both on and off the field.
