Nursery Practitioner

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and energetic Level 3 Nursery Practitioner who embraces outdoor learning to join our friendly and eager team here at our Goslings Nursery and Forest school. Goslings Nursery is based within Gosfield School which is a co-educational independent school that caters for children from 2 to 18 years old.  

The job role will require the candidate to drink pretend cups of tea, to fully anticipate going home covered in paint, glitter and mud, to be able to give reasons as to “why” anything and everything happens and to remember the words to every nursery rhyme possible. We are looking for someone with a huge heart who wants to ensure every child knows how special and important they are to our Gosfield family.  

Goslings Nursery and Forrest School is a term-time setting, with opening hours of 8am until 5pm. This is full-time position with flexibility required to meet the needs of the nursery.  

Preferred start date week commencing 21st February 2022 but this can be flexible for the right candidate.

Estates and Facilities Manager

The Estates and Facilities Manager will be responsible for the condition, smooth operation and development of the School’s range of buildings and 110 acre estate, the management of contractors and line management of the Premises, Grounds and Cleaning teams. You will also be responsible for Health and Safety compliance and promoting the School’s Health and Safety culture.  This is a key appointment, central to the effective running of the School.   

The ideal candidate will have a strong and demonstrable understanding of Estates and Facilities management and managing a team of diverse people and skills.  You will have the ability to think creatively, demonstrate initiative and be proactive in developing the School premises and grounds.  

Salary dependent on experience 

Holiday entitlement – 22 days (excluding bank holidays), plus School closure days between Christmas and New Year.

Kitchen Porter

16.25 hours per week (3.25 hours per day), term time

We are looking for an energetic and friendly person to join our busy catering team, assisting in the day to day running of the schools in-house catering service. Your duties will include washing up, cleaning and basic food preparation during the lunchtime service period. Part of a small and dedicated team, you will maintain high standards of general cleanliness and hygiene and enjoy working with children. There will be opportunities for additional hours to assist with special functions at the school on an occasional basis. Catering experience is desirable but not essential. The school will provide full training in Food Safety.
