We are looking to appoint a dynamic Reception primary teacher ready to make a real difference to our Prep School and for all our pupils. This is an exciting opportunity for an Early Years specialist to join our growing school. We are looking for a teacher who values creative subjects and outdoor adventure as much as the core, and is excited by the possibility of nurturing and challenging our children beyond the National Curriculum.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to lead a subject area in the Prep school. All Gosfield School teachers are expected to contribute to our broad co-curricular activities programme.

EYFS Practitioner 

Contract type: Part time 

Hours: 2 days (15 hours)

Part Time EYFS Practitioner (15 hours a week, 34 weeks a year)

Gosfield School are currently looking to recruit a caring, highly motivated and enthusiastic EYFS Practitioner to join our EYFS team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic and creative team, in a stunning rural setting where children’s happiness and a commitment to a high quality, inspirational learning experience underpins everything that we do. 

The working hours for this role will be up to 15 hours over two days and will mainly be based within the Reception classroom. 

The successful applicant will be an experienced and inspiring EYFS practitioner qualified to at least level 3. They will possess excellent organisation and communication skills, developing strong positive relationships with both adults and children.

We are looking to appoint a dynamic and inspiring teacher who is ready to make a real difference to our Prep School and for all our pupils. This is an exciting opportunity for a positive, determined teacher who has a track record of outstanding teaching, who can inspire and motivate colleagues and who has experience of leading change in a core subject. Initially, the position will be in our Year 6 classroom, with the possibility of leading across a Key Stage phase. However, there is the possibility of moving to KS1 in September. This post is equally suitable for those wishing to apply for a classroom teacher position or those interested in contributing at leadership level, including Phase leadership and up to Senior leadership.

Catering Assistant

15 hours per week (3 hours per day), term time plus occasional extra hours for in-house events.

An energetic and friendly person who is a team player to assist with washing up during the lunchtime service period, maintain a high standard of personal and general cleanliness and hygiene. Occasionally assist in some preparation of hot and cold meals.

Occasionally, to assist with special functions at the school which may be outside of normal working hours. Catering experience desirable but not essential. The school will provide on-line training on Food Safety.

Cleaner Required – Part time

15 hours per week, Monday to Friday term time. Occasional extra hours for events and holiday cleaning.

The caretakers and cleaning team as a whole are responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the school. Each cleaner will be responsible for an area and will be expected to clean to the frequency and standard set out, at the direction of the Cleaning Supervisor and Estates Manager, cleaning staff will clean other areas as required.
