The latest crop of outstanding A Level results has been welcomed by Gosfield School as it celebrates the personal success stories of its students.

Principal Guy Martyn, was delighted with the wonderful achievements of those students who achieved the top grades of A* and A, as was the case for Head Boy Adam, who scored As and A*s across the board, and those who achieved beyond expectations, such as Head Girl Abby, and will now go off to study her first choice course in Leeds. He said, “We’re so excited and pleased for our students that yet again it’s clear how our focus on personalised tuition, nurturing care and inspirational personal development in the small class sizes we provide here has had a real impact. We are a small family School and this matters for ambitious students who want to grow as leaders in our community and work hard as part of a small, friendly group to gain their first choice place at University or their future career.”

Head girl Abby said ‘I am delighted with my results. I think all of my hard work has paid off this year. I couldn’t do it without my brilliant teachers. I am excited to start a new chapter in my life studying Hospitality Business Management.

Abby was Head girl this year and balanced studying with all of her duties. Abby said she has enjoyed planning events such as the Spring Dance and recognises how much her public speaking has improved.

Head Boy Adam added ‘I am really happy with my results; they are much better that I thought! I have achieved a place at my first choice university, University of Bath, studying International Relations and Politics.

Adam believes the small classes here at Gosfield made the difference ‘because the teachers can cater to your individual needs rather that a one size fits all education’.

Adam joined in 2012 in Year 7 and it was in the Head Boy and Girl voting assembly that he decided that he wanted to be Head Boy in Year 13 and has achieved that dream, developing his impressive public speaking skills along the way.
