Useful Information

It has been a very long time without face to face education for too many of our children, and a long time without anything approaching normal for all pupils. No-one is pretending that what we propose to offer will be normal in the old sense, but it is so important that we do all we can to offer the best experience for our pupils, and the safest one too – both for them and all our staff. It’s important for their wellbeing, their health and their development academically and emotionally. Of course, it’s also important because attendance at School for all pupils is mandatory from this September, as you can read about further in the attached documents, and in the Government’s own guidance.

COVID Safety Update

On Wednesday 3rd February 2021 we had a pre-arranged visit from the NHS Advisory Team as part of a new government initiative to assist Schools in being COVID secure.

We have always strived to ensure that Gosfield School is a safe and clean environment for pupils and staff, especially during the current pandemic, and welcomed this visit to understand and ensure all our hard work in our planning and procedures complies with government guidance.

We are very pleased to say the NHS inspector was very impressed with the lengths the School has gone to, ensuring we are keeping all members of staff and students as safe as possible during the current climate.

A quote from the report:

“Gosfield School is an Impressive English co-educational independent school. Very well maintained to an exceptional standard throughout. They have gone above and beyond in their protocols, procedures and risk assessments – the detail in all the planning is absolutely incredible. The staff should be commended on the brilliant efforts they have gone to in the design and implementation of protocols required. They have gone above and beyond in their efforts.”

In the below ‘Headlines’ document you’ll be able to read about the key items which are important for you and your child to know before returning to School in September. The Risk Assessment, also attached, provides more detailed information about all aspects of our plans to re-open and keep everyone safe.
