boarding school for ages 4-18
On the morning of Tuesday 14th November there was great excitement about the forthcoming cross curricular day for Years 6 and 7.
A visitor came to work with the group on ‘Street Style’ Dancing. The anticipation was evident as the pupils filed into the hall to the sounds of High School Musical. Without further ado, the teachers and pupils were enjoying a warm up of rather invigorating moves!
The pupils followed a series of sequences that tested even the meanest of dancers on the floor. The opportunity to show off their moves was always available. The final routine showed all sorts of street moves and final poses.
After lunch the group headed to the Food Technology Department, for some fabulous food in street style. The pupils prepared stir fry, pizzas and crepes. The added challenge was to toss the crepe without dropping it – as a result there were several low flying crepes!
All in all a thoroughly enjoyable day to kick of the festival season - well done to all who took part!
