Gosfield School Results 2009Pupils sit external examinations at the end of each Key Stage. In addition, and where appropriate, we promote the 11+ with considerable success. We have a wide range of ability in the school and pride ourselves upon the individual progress of each child. Emphasis is not therefore placed on the percentage of pupils achieving levels or grades but in the personal progress they have made. We are very proud that the majority of our pupils achieve well beyond Government expectations based upon their individual prior attainment.
Independent Schools Inspectorate, March 2007“The quality of pupils’ learning remains high.” “The School harnesses the good behaviour and attitudes of its pupils to ensure real quality of learning.” “The small numbers in many classes usually brings real benefits, since pupils thrive on the close attention and encouragement that they are given. Results at GCSE have improved markedly.” “During the three years 2003 to 2005, the last for which comparative data is available, pupils’ results were above those of pupils nationally and were good in relation to their ability.” Gosfield School is a small, mixed ability school that prides itself on promoting individual progress. All children are supported to do their very best in everything they do. |
