Harvest Poems

Harvest Poems written by pupils from Years 5 and 6:

The Harvest
By Daniel, Lily,
Lydia and Connall

Harvest, harvest greens and oranges.
All the time, we share our harvest.
Ready to eat in the harvest feast.
Very tasty food today.
Everyone joins in the fun.
Sing along with the harvest song.
Thank you for the harvest and
     your goodness.

Harvesting The Crops
By Hannah, Chelsea,
Kyron and Theo

Harvest time is finally here,
Harvesting the crops ploughing the
     fields,
Giving thanks for this great year,
Sharing the crops that are good to
     eat.

My Garden
By Reece, Lewis, Molly and William

Harvest time is here again,
In Spring I spread my seeds and
     hoped for rain.
As time went by
My plants grew high.
They grew higher and higher
To meet my desire
To grow wonderful fruits.
I put on my gardening boots
And picked apples, plums and beans,
     broccoli, cabbages, carrots
And lots of others too.
Now I have lots of fruits
But there is still more to do.
I harvested my fruits ready to go to
     the festival
And best of all
They were given to help others
That we think about this harvest time.

Harvest Scene
By Charlotte, Ellie, Aston,
Tristan and Alex

The tableau is over-flowing
With delicious autumn fayre.
There’s lots of different colours
And plenty for us to share.
The vicar gives his thanks to God
And says a harvest prayer.
We all sing a happy hymn
And throw our arms up in the air.
Now back to the tableau
With an apple and a pear.
To go to the people
Who need our care.
