If your child is interested in boarding, why not book them in for a trial? We are holding a trial boarding week, commencing Monday 21 May. Please contact the school office for further details.

Gosfield girls’ boarding is now open for business!

Refurbishments are complete. There are 2 new bathrooms to compliment the high standard of décor that consists of 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a lounge.

If you haven’t thought about boarding before, here are a few reasons why you should:

We offer flexible boarding from 1 to 5 nights a week.

We open from Sunday evening at 7pm until Friday afternoon.

Boys and girls are welcome to come and stay from Year 1 to Year 6.

Year 5 and 6 boys may choose whether to stay with the older boys, or with Miss Connolly and the younger children.

Girls from all ages are welcome.
Old style dormitories putting you off? We have a twin room and 2 bedrooms with 3 beds in. They are definitely bedrooms not dorms! All are freshly painted and homely.
Finding it a struggle completing homework at home, or as a parent is it difficult to pick up at the end of school? Why not stay for tea and then go home after? We are happy to look after children after school and provide a quiet, structured routine to help with their studies.

Going on a trip that will be coming back late? Why not stay at school for the night to save parents having to come and collect you?

Ranked 7th Independent School in Essex

In the Department of Education Performance Tables published this week, we are one of the leading schools in Essex for GCSE results.

88% of our candidates achieved 5 or more A*- C grades, including Mathematics and English, ranking us the 7th independent school in the county.

Principal Dr Sarah Welch commented: “What is important to us at Gosfield School is that all pupils reach their full potential—not just academically, but in all areas of their development. We are, however, delighted when so many of our young people achieve the qualifications which will open doors for them in the future. Being a small school that welcomes and nurtures pupils from a wide ability range, we are particularly proud that this percentage equals or surpasses that of a number of selective independent schools in the area.”
