boarding school for ages 4-18
What an exciting, if exhausting, final week at school. For once there were no sports fixtures, which was a good job really as so much has been going on. The Prep School had great fun at their Christmas parties. All the children remembered their party clothes and enjoyed the food and entertainment. The special appearance by Father Christmas, complete with a present for everyone made for an entertaining afternoon. Many thanks to FOGs for once again giving the children such a wonderful treat.
Wednesday evening saw the Senior School Christmas dinner and talent show. The marquee in the sports hall looked fantastic and the tables had been decorated by the Heads of Houses. The students all turned up looking extremely glamorous and again enjoyed the food and entertainment - from the talent show, to the DJ, to Mr Jaume singing a solo! Another thank you to FOGs and to the staff who helped create such a lovely atmosphere.
The reception class put on their Nativity for parents on Wednesday, and it was so good they had to do it again yesterday for other children and staff to watch.
Many thanks to Cathy and her team in the kitchen for making such a lovely Christmas dinner yesterday. The food, as always, was delicious, and many students were seen to have seconds of everything - which is always a good sign!
The Christmas Fayre was buzzing yesterday. The dining hall was filled with stall holders - many professional, and several run by the senior students to raise money for their trip to Laos. Thank you to all who attended and spent their money so willingly.
THE EIGHT RHYME CHALLENGE
Well done to all those in the Reception class who took part in the nursery rhyme challenge this week.
